Fairland's Interact Club was able to participate in a community service project titled "Sydni Smiles". This program offers modified backpacks to children who are undergoing cancer treatments using a feeding tube, whether it is a NG Tube or a G-Tube. Sydni Smiles is dedicated to raising awareness and support for the continuing journey to find treatment for cancer in children. Allowing a child to choose a backpack they love when facing this part of their treatment may seem small, but it can have a profound impact. This group is dedicated to bring smiles to children, one back pack at a time, in hospitals nationwide.
The backpack features a clip for the feed bag to hook onto. The pump will just sit at the bottom of the bag.
The Interact Club modified and assembled backpacks to get ready for shipping to Children's ICUs nationwide.
